Our Experienced level is designed for active travelers with good fitness and previous hiking experience who are comfortable walking for several hours and managing more demanding terrain.
Depending on the journey, this can mean longer distances, greater elevation, sustained ascents and descents, uneven surfaces or several substantial walking days in succession. Distance alone doesn’t determine difficulty, which is why we consider terrain, elevation, trail conditions and the overall demands of each itinerary.
You don’t need to be a mountaineer or technical trekker. You should, however, feel confident spending full days on foot and arrive prepared for the demands of your chosen route.
