You'll also get to hike the most scenic trails of the surrounding region, in the mystical Sintra Sierra, visiting the Pena Palace, Mourish castle, and romantic gardens of this UNESCO world heritage region and the untouched Arrábida, with it's stunning oceanic views, secluded beaches and amazing vineyards.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you’ll discover downtown Lisbon, the “city of seven hills”, so prepare for a challenging hike on the urbanized, historical city center, as we are going up and down the city! We’ll discover the romantic Chiado and Rossio, the authentic streets of Alfama, stop for a “ginginha” in Mouraria, climb to São Jorge’s Castle, and stopping for lunch in one of the several viewpoints to overlook the Tagus river. We’ll be walking by Lisbon’s museums, trendy neighborhoods, medieval buildings, tasty restaurants, getting to know this ancient and beautiful city.

Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time you’ll be transferred to Monsanto, Lisbon’s city park, where 900 acres of forested area await. Today we’ll be hiking by Monsanto’s trails for a privileged view over Lisbon’s Aqueduct, Tagus river and 25 de Abril bridge while hiking in this beautifully forested area. Leaving Monsanto, we’ll head down to the riverside, towards Belém, to visit Jerónimos monastery, Belém tower and taste the famous custard pies. Transfer to Sintra, to your next hotel.
Hotel – Sintra Boutique Hotel or Palácio de Seteais ("premium" option)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we’ll walk by the Sintra Sierra, marked by a dense forest and great oceanic views, we’ll hike to the top of the mysterious “moon mountain”, starting from the romantic historical center towards the forested trails of, Capuchos, Pedra Amarela viewpoint and up to Peninha sanctuary, for a breathtaking view at the top of the Sierra. The afternoon is reserved for relaxing at your hotel or visiting the romantic gardens of Regaleira or Pena Palace, well preserved monuments of the romantic and mystical atmosphere that made Sintra a UNESCO world heritage site.
Hotel – Sintra Boutique Hotel or Palácio de Seteais ("premium" option)
Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time you’ll be transferred to Cabo da Roca, Europe’s westernmost point, where we’ll start our hike by the secluded beaches of Sintra – we’ll hike by Praia da Adraga, Praia das Maçãs and other amazing beaches by the oceanside trails. Walking all the way to Azenhas do Mar, where we’ll stop for lunch and admire the beautiful views. After lunch, we’ll head over to Cascais, for a visit to this royal summer retreat, before heading over to Palmela, to the south of the Tagus river – tonight, we’ll be sleeping at a former castle.

Breakfast at the hotel. Start of your hike in Palmela, by the Arrábida Sierra’s natural park. Hiking this protected area reminds us of adriatic locations like Dalmatia, as we head towards the ocean. Going up and down the rocky trails of the Arrábida natural park, passing by the secluded former 16th century monastey before reaching the idilic bay of “Portinho da Arrábida”, where we’ll stop for lunch and for a dive in the ocean, while admiring Tróia’s Península. After lunch, a quick transfer will take us to Azeitão, where we can explore this quaint village’s historial Center and even visit a local vineyard and wine cellar. Transfer to your hotel in Palmela.
