Today, our guide will meet you at Porto airport or at the hotel you’re staying in, to transfer you to São Bento station. There, we’ll give you a detailed briefing and provide you route book for your walking tour before you take the train to Peso da Régua, in the heart of the Douro valley (train tickets not included). Check-in at your hotel in Peso da Régua, by the margins of the Douro river: Vila Galé Collection Douro or Quinta da Pacheca (included in the “premium” option) and enjoy the rest of your day exploring the village.

Explore Peso da Régua, on this 14km hike that’ll take you through the village in the direction of São Gonçalo and São Pedro viewpoints where you’ll have a privileged view over the region’s vineyards. Afterwards, hike down the hill towards the abandoned trail of the Corgo railway line, by the Corgo river, where you can stop for a visit and wine tasting at the renowned “Quinta do Vallado”, before hiking back to your hotel.

Start your day by taking the train further into the Douro valley, to Gouvinhas train station. From there, you’ll hike uphill, towards Quinta Nova, where you’ll get to explore the marked trails inside its property, and where you’ll be able to have lunch and do a wine tasting experience. There, you’ll hike downhill, passing by the beautiful Quinta do Crasto, before checking in at your hotel at Quinta da Marka, overlooking the Douro river, or Quinta Nova (included in the “premium” option).

Start your day by hiking East, by the road alongside the Douro river, towards Quinta Nova where you’ll pick-up the trails inside this wine estate and then towards Covas do the Douro, a picturesque and secluded village in the region. From there, keep walking by the roads alongside the river until you reach the “Inferno” valley, and reach your hotel for the day, “Quinta de La Rosa”, a
wine estate where you’ll be able to taste the local wines and enjoy a privileged spot by the Douro’s margins. If you have chosen the “premium” option, keep hiking to Pinhão and check-in at the Vintage House Douro hotel by the marina (included in the “premium” option).

Today, you’ll be heading North, by the “São Cristovão do Douro” trail, going uphill by a trail that’ll take you across the local wine estates towards Provesende, a hidden gem in the region, where you’ll be able to visit the local Church and bakery, before returning to Pinhão, with privileged views over this affluent of the Douro.

Hike towards the village of Pinhão, visit the fluvina and the local train station, and then keep hiking towards Quinta da Roêda, where you’ll be going uphill, to Casal de Loivos viewpoint, using the trails inside this wine estate. After enjoying the view, descend towards the Quinta and enjoy a boat ride by the Douro in the late afternoon.
